A typical day at River Pre-School is a wonderful mixture of learning, play, and discovery. As the children arrive, a warm and welcoming atmosphere sets the tone for the day. The morning starts with engaging group activities, fostering social interaction and communication skills. Our dedicated Early Years Practitioners introduce diverse play stations, from creative arts to sensory exploration, providing opportunities for independent and collaborative learning.
Structured routines, including circle time, singing and storytelling, create a sense of stability, while outdoor play encourages physical development and a connection with nature. We sometimes even head over to River Primary School’s playing field! Snack and lunch times are not just a break, but a chance for the children to practice social skills and explore new tastes in a supportive environment.
In the afternoon, activities are tailored to individual interests, promoting autonomy and self-expression. Our skilled team seamlessly integrate educational themes into play, sparking curiosity and a love for learning. We maintain open communication through daily updates (including our much-loved folders) and opportunities for feedback.
The day ends with a calming routine, preparing the children for a smooth transition home. As laughter echoes through the playroom, the echoes of a day filled with exploration, growth, and joy linger, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning in our Early Years setting.
