On commencing their journey with us, each child is allocated a named Key Worker. A key worker in an early years setting plays a crucial role in providing personalised care and support to young children, fostering a secure and nurturing environment. Serving as a bridge between parents/carers and the Pre-School, the key worker establishes strong relationships with both the child and their family. They closely monitor developmental milestones, address individual needs, and tailor activities to promote cognitive, emotional, and social growth. This personalised approach enhances the child’s sense of security and well-being. Additionally, key workers contribute to effective communication, ensuring parents/carers are informed and involved in their child’s early learning journey, creating a collaborative and supportive foundation for the child’s development.

The purpose of the Local Offer is to enable parents and carers to clearly see what services are available to children with SEND and how to access them. This information outlines what we can provide at River Pre-School, but we invite you to come and visit us to discuss your child’s needs in greater detail.
