In the early years, nutrition and food exploration are paramount for holistic development. Introducing diverse, nutritious foods not only supports physical well-being but also encourages sensory exploration, fine motor skills, and social interaction. Establishing healthy eating habits during this crucial period lays a foundation for a lifetime of balanced nutrition and positive relationships with food.

Snack Time

Our setting has a supervised snack table open during the morning session and is available to all children. The snack bar is a fantastic opportunity for children to try and experience new tastes and textures and promotes independence as they select their items. We provide a wide variety of healthy options, including fruit, vegetables, cheese, crackers, breadsticks, wraps, toast, and other goodies.

Lunch Boxes

We encourage parents to provide healthy lunches for their children. Lunch boxes are kept in a storage cupboard which is cool, but they are NOT kept in the fridge. We ask parents to consider this when selecting food and drink for their children and include an ice-pack in their lunch pack.
We are a nut-free pre-school.

Special Dietary Needs

Ensuring your child’s safety is our priority. Please inform us of any allergies or special dietary requirements. Your open communication empowers us to create a safe and inclusive environment for every child in our care.

Snack Donation

Parents are invited to make a small voluntary contribution of £1 a week towards the costs of purchasing snacks.
We have a snack donation pot in the playroom, and also welcome donations by BACS.
